modelling in 3ds max collision crash

I make my models. Make boxes and convert them into editble meshes and snug them to the model. Collapse them together. I following this tutorial here:

I goto export it using all the setting it shows. It goes through everything just fine and then when its working on exported the collision mesh it crashes 3ds max.

 

 

anyone know why? Is the tutorial out of date or wrong? Is there some way around doing the collision in 3ds max if i cannot fix this?

I am going to answer this for other people, but i figured the problem. Finding another tutorial, It talked of having a Rigid body attribute. This was critical to exporting collision. The wiki tutorial made no mention of it. In fact the new tutorial was quite different but worked and is now in game.
