littlefatcat Posted September 2, 2023 Share Posted September 2, 2023 (edited) It is a bit arcady to have a gun raised at all times. I like how Cyberpunk handled gun idle animations. Once you enter combat it is raised but outside of combat V lowers the weapon after some time. In Starfield I find myself switching to 3rd person because there is an actual idle animation for guns.TDLR: It is more immersive to hold the gun down instead of raised all the time like wolfenstein 3d from 1992.
