transfer Skyrim install onto new PC

I played a heavily modded Skyrim on my old PC. The PC died but I have the hard drives which are intact and can be opned as an external drive with an adapter.

I would like to play my old saves and modded game on the new PC. Can anypne advise me on how to do this? Downloading the mods from scratch is daunting. Can I run the game on the old hard drive without a new install? Can I copy/paste the old data into a new install?

I appreciate the help.

Hello, I use MO2, I play in skyrim LE, not long ago I realized that I had the game installed on one disk and the mo2 with the mods on the other, in my case what I did was copy all the mods that were in the MO2 folder on C drive and make a same path folder on the other drive. Some mods that I saw were not working and others, just in case, I reinstalled them, the ones that I had deleted the downloads I had to download them again, and change the routes in MO2 to the new place. So far everything is going well.

Only in my case the MO2 still remainen on the C drive. I know that there are programs that can move an installed program to another place, but I have not tried it nor do I think I will try it, so far everything is going well, it is better to leave it that way.

I think that if for some reason the save games need the game path to work (which I have no idea) it is just a matter of making sure in the new place that you are going to put skyrim and the mods have the same path
I hope it helps you.
I'm not advanced in computing or anything like that. I did it, it worked. it's possible. at least for me
edit:
Hello, I wanted to add this in case it helps with some more specific information, I moved the skyrim program and all its contents from the disk drive that was on it to another, in this case drive E to drive C, make a copy of the MO2 files folder to one on C drive, same path, same folder name. I opened each text document (.ini or configuration) in the SKSE folder and in each file I found the path E: I replaced it with C: doing that and changing the paths in the MO2 saved me from having to reinstall the mods, I couldn't test it but the game loaded the first time without problems or errors. I'll check it out tonight.
