Manelin
I don't mean get crazy... but here are a few ideas: 1. Perhaps interior lighting toggles, and even customizing the colors of lights in each room. 2. Have different styles of the interior habs, a messy or clean version of interiors, since you might be a grubby pirate who prefers dark lived in spaces, or a bounty hunter who lives full time in their ship. This could even be a simple grungier texture on the interior. Or even if you could customize the paint job on the interiors... but Num 1 would cover a lot of the vibes you might be trying to set on your ship. 3. Place decorative items that are static and won't move or disappear. I know I'd love to decorate the stroudekland modules with all sorts of stuff to make them more homey. I also like being a pirate who's alter ego is a rich corpo... piracy is just for fun. 4. Have crew activities, don't ask me what... but there's not much to do on the ships. 5. If you're not in combat, go physically repair damages in your ship to save on cost of ship parts or credits. 6. Perhaps more Habs for other purposes idk. I'd love some more luxurious models or ship parts. The idea of being an insanely luxurious rich pirate or bounty hunter... or corpo, whatever! I'd love to walk into the captains quarters to a nice big double bed. 7. Record captains log in your office or desk somewhere in the ship. This could serve as a periodic thing to gain a little XP or XP boost... and would serve as a roleplay function as well as you could look back on them later. 8. More roleplay features in the ship to enhance your character. Perhaps if a modder was so inclined (even seperately) to make some mini games to play with your crew. This might add to ship morale, and how your relationship is with them. But mainly it's just something fun to do outside of missions. In summary, there are a lot of fun action packed activities to do in Starfield. Mind you, I know the game is only just out for early release and will be out for everyone else soon, but... these are just some ideas to fuel the imagination going forward. I'd love more reasons to collect miscelanious objects, or to sit around my ship. I'd love to actually make use of all these lovely habs I'm putting in. Basically, your ship is your flying mobile home and your crew is your family... Bethesda did a great job, but these are some nitpicky things I wish were in there in some form or another.
