Lacera1
I have my game installed under a non-standard file directory for Oblivion. How do I get my custom textures/meshes packed so they'll work for other people? The standard install shows some people a purple shader instead of the textures I set up in Nifskope. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Pronam
If you change the destination like in this example C:\folder\bethesda softworks\oblivion\data\textures\armor\yourarmor\armor.ddstotextures\armor\yourarmor\armor.dds it will still work for you and others... Although it might not show up correctly in nifskope and CS, I heard a solution earlier..don't know where though..

NIFSKOPE can be configured to show up there and CS looks by default in that directory.
Pronam
Ì'm not referring to the texture path but the rendering of the texture inside the windows. But that's my own problem...;)
PacificMorrowind
Ì'm not referring to the texture path but the rendering of the texture inside the windows. But that's my own problem...;)what you need to do is change the texture path in nifskope to textures/whateverpathafterthis/filename.ddsand it will work fine on all oblivion installs.and to still be able to view the texture in nifskope you just go to render-->settings-->rendering-->auto detect game paths (or manually add the folder down to data (so for example C:/Games/Oblivion/Data).Pacific Morrowind

Okay I tried to do what everyone said, but when you say to change the destination, did you mean my entire oblivion folder cause if so I can't do that since I have vista and my game seems to have a problem running through the standard install of oblivion which is why my install is like this: D:\Games. And if you mean in Nifskope, could you please explain how to change the destination like how you said above? I'm still new to the whole modding thing. n_n; Thanks in advance.
