ironwolf777
After carefully following Goper's instructional vids, and being able to stack 160 mods like a house of cards with only minor CTD ... I've finally hit a game breaker.I can deal with little glitches like intro music running on into the game,CTD when trying to exit to main menu, and a weird bug that sometimes pops up changing my characters face and forcing me to hop backwards in saves until it goes away. But now I've got this audio stutter glitch that just won't go away.I've searched audio bugs in the forum but it's all radio related. This glitch affects everything but music/radio. What happens is ALL sound effects just stop and stutter and cut out repeatedly. I uninstalled the last 20 mods I had added, that didn't fix it. I uninstalled ALL mods in the list to bare vanilla game, and that didn't fix it.I don't know what started it because I've played nearly 100 hours of this game and the audio was always great. The only thing that might be a clue is that before the glitch showed up I tried playing Windows Media Player in the background to test out some music to add to a radio mod. I had never done that before. I'm playing the Steam GOTY version on Windows 8 using a Turtle Beach Headset via Realtek digital output optical jack. So I'd like to learn how to do a complete clean re-isntall and would be grateful for any advice on how to properly do this. What do I need to do to Nexus Mod Manager. Just uninstall my entire mod list and reinstall them after I've reinstalled the game? Could whatever's corrupting my audio be hiding in a mod file? I've always used FO3Edit to create a merge patch after my last mod but that's as far as I've gone into it. One question I've always had is : will a very early save game (made just after character creation) contain any data from a heavily modded game that could corrupt or complicate anything. I've heard that a game that has seen a lot of mods installed and uninstalled can lead to glitches and crashing, but if I reload that very first save from a heavily modded game would it have any adverse effect? I spent a lot of time making my character look like Walter White from Breaking Bad and I think I really nailed it, and it would be hard to recreate. Thanks in advance for any advice.
