Why Do You Play Fallout NV?

I think I play the rpg style games because of many factors.

1) story/characters/narrative -- I like the story and the choices.

2) exploring/finding things/ -- curiousity is activated.

3) hoarding/finding/inventory management. I love underground hideout and collecting things in game. finding all the pieces of something, etc. collecting and making things.

4) shooting s#*!.

5) the right to not shoot s#*!. what I like about skyrim/morrowind/fallout style games is that I don't, like in Call of duty or even borderlands, have to just fight fight fight all the time. I love borderlands but it is high testosterone all the time killing and running. very little flavor text and lot of the plot is audio. it is very ADD compared to the M/OS/Fo3/FNV genre.

I can go fight deathclaws on their promotory, do a run against the fiends, and then I can go to town, play blackjack, sell stuff, organize my loot, mod weapons, change gear, etc. go talk to people, go read notes in pipboy I might not have etc.

in these games I set the pace.

6)also I like the growth/leveling/,mastery it is satisfying to start out crappy at stuff and then get good and then get SUPERSAWESOME!!!! it feels good. I played skyrim on Master, and it was way harder. I used no cheats. the game stayed harder way longer (thought eventually it got easy except for a few dragons and they were easy if I had not stupidly travelled with no potions of buffing my resistance/archery etc)

I like them because I am the protaganist!

Why do I Play Fallout New Vegas?

I have to explain so you guys understand:

I never played any Shooter, RPG Game in my life... Never! Only games I played then were Racing games on my dads Playstation 2. When 2010 came, I caught word of this game and I became intrigued by it. Went to the closest computer and search up the setting, lore of the Fallout world and the weapons that came with New Vegas and I just wanted it more. Inside myself is a cowboy who wanted to be let loose.

I looked across many shooters and None of them interested me. Not the 1st Bioshock; I Despise Fallout 3, Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield, GTA and the Borderland games; Also, I Dislike The Elder Scrolls and anything based around medieval times and the lore that follows it. I even think Red Dead Redemption is pointless. Along came January 2011, I was with a friend at his house. He told me if I wanted to play a game with him on his Xbox 360, I said sure.

He said to pick any game he had on the shelf. I went looking through them and to my amazement... He has Fallout New Vegas for the Xbox 360! I asked if I could play it and he said yes. (Just to let everyone know now I never played any Fallout Games either.) My friend and I spent so many hours learning the game with my good pal teaching me along the way.

I suddenly knew what game I wanted for my first console. Later on in time, My cousin and I were playing Fallout New Vegas together. I loved it even more the longer we played it. I already loved listening to 40's and 50's music with my grandma and the first time I heard New Vegas Radio play, my jaw fell to the floor with a thud. Always loved the 1950's and this game just made it worth the while.

Inside of me, my love for the 50's and the Cowboy inside just burst with joy! Fallout New Vegas even helped me with which game console to choose: the Xbox 360 Slim. New Vegas showed me there is a wide world to explore. The first time I walked outside of Goodsprings, I got a chill all the way down my back and got so scared of the new given freedom I ran every inch back to town!

Before New Vegas, I was getting bored with videogames, Even the two racing games I owned for the PS2.

I was never truly into videogames. But with New Vegas, I now have a selection of games I want on my shelf. (4 others to be exact and only one is for the PS3.) So I have one game to thank. For Broadening my gaze and... For letting my inner cowboy come alive.

Learning that I could mod my game to how I would like it to be, made my unexisting gaming heart explode! I Still play Fallout New Vegas on the Xbox 360 to this day. Not very much but whenever I can, I will. That is why I play Fallout New Vegas.

P.S.: If you wish to know what the other games are that I wish to have. Personal Message me and I will respond.

That was....kinda beautiful Ace. If you can handle much older graphics you might like the first two Fallout games. You'll have to head mod the cowboy look, but oh yeah, you can be a six shooter badass, ringing order the wild wastes. My Vault Dweller from Fallout 1 called herself the rooinest, tootiniest and and shootinest little lady this side of the Sierra Nevada. She wasn't kidding. Back in those games, 'That Gun' criticaled out like a freight train. She called it Adolf: it was from Austria (a steyr), small, loud, and when he gets angry, people die in large numbers!

She later joined the Followers of the Apocalypse as a doctor. What better way to practice applied eugenics by having the power to save the good and and turn the wicked to paste?

That is Cool Charwo. Don't worry, the mods will make the cowboy I want. This courier turned Cowboy has been doing good and exploring the wastes. I support the NCR but I am going to enjoy what the Mojave has to offer first. I am not going to pass up the things to find. I think I'll have fun before I settle down. If I am to settle down... huh! I don't know. I'm such a restless spirit! I have only explored 10% of the New Vegas area total! Hey, I'll let you know what happens in the future.

Your Cowboy friend,

Nick The Shootist
