I would need to know which HD texture pack you're trying to use and then would need to see what's inside your "Textures" folder. Also, are you using FOMM or ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated? That would eliminate having to manually change the .ini.
Vhaara
I am using niether, and i kinda prefer to manually change it. Also, i am using the texture pack from here And here is a picture of inside my textures folders- http://fc01.deviantart.com/fs47/f/2009/179/5/b/Textures_by_Vhaara.png
deckel11
I'm not familiar with that texture pack, it looks like a combination of several other mods. But your textures folder looks fine, as far as I can tell. It appears that you use Steam, I'm also not familiar with that and whether it changes how the game installs/operates. From what I know, if your bInvalidateOlderFiles is set to 1, and your texture files are in the right place (and they appear to be), and you've got the game set to high (large size) textures, they should show up in game. Beyond that, sorry, I really don't know what to tell you. Also, this may be a silly question, but are you SURE the new textures aren't showing up? In other words, do you know (have any sample pics) of what they're supposed to look like?
Vhaara
I think it may have to do with steam unfortunetly. And yes i know for sure its not working. I can tell mostly by looking at my Pipboy, and at the rocks and such. Well, thanks so much for trying to help man!
deckel11
No problem, sorry we couldn't figure it out.
Vhaara
Ok i think i know whats going on, but i dont know how to fix it. I think its not letting the high res textures work. Like "bInvalidateOlderFiles=1" isnt working. Why do i think this? Ok well, i went and i deleted the Archiveinvalidation.txt and the menu and textures folders in the Data folder. So everything was just like when i first installed Fallout 3. Then i installed a mod that makes your Pipboy high res, and fallowed the directions exactly. But what do you know, didnt work. Pipboy still looks like poo and is illegible (Except on the screen). Also, my rocks literally look like gray blobs on ultra settings, and i just got back from cousin's grad party and her little bro was playin Fallout on his 360, and all of his textures look better than all of mine, even thought mine are set to Ultra settings.
