PureSpiral Posted September 13, 2023 Share Posted September 13, 2023 Once the Modding community get settled and gets their hands on more tools, I'd like to put the idea out there for some kind of class-tree/perks that have to do with Xenobiology. This class I am thinking of would be along the lines of a necromancer from Skyrim. I bring this forward because I liked roleplaying a pure necromancer with no melee/ranged. But in this case it would just be a scientist. The idea of playing as scientist that can call upon aliens to attack enemies would be really cool. Obviously, it shouldn't just be as blatant as summoning an alien from the ether. Not sure how it would be done. Some kind of companion mechanic? Maybe we can keep them in capsules and summon on command? Imagine wearing a lab coat and being attacked by a bunch a spacers. Suddenly your alien companion goes into a frenzy and starts tearing apart these spacers. Maybe it's a species that can inject fast working venom. Or how about it's a species that can attach itself to your body and give your character some kind of healing factor/oversheid in symbiosis fashion. I also imagine a mechanic where you can manufacture and breed other species together. An implentation of RNG could also play a part here where when you can intertwine different DNA at a xenobioligist workbench where you have a chance to obtain common/uncommon/rare/legendary alien companions. The xenobiologist perk we currently have that put aliens under you command isn't really enough I feel. I think we as a community can go futher beyond.
