ReaperIWP Posted September 14, 2023 Share Posted September 14, 2023 I'm debating on going cheap with gamepass ult of buy it outright, & I got to wondering if there is hotas compatibility, and since I haven't played yet is HOTAS even really worth it? I have seen pretty equal amounts of flight and terra-combat so not sure it is even worth using? The ship buying & upgrading for specific class play styles puts a connection to Elite Dangerous mentality despite the major differences and game structure but if enough gameplay is consistent with space flight it may be something that is worth using? If there are any mods for improving using it, that would be nice too. I was looking at the mods available for the game and the question came up, the ADHD norm for me. I got mine working by following this youtube video, which involves downloading some open source utilities that treat your HOTAS as an XBOX controller. It involves manual configuration of the axis, and is not 100% perfect. Mine feels like it has huge deadzones, so I have to push my HOTAS devices pretty far to get a response.
