Failed to get access key/failed to login

Ive been trying to login to vortex yet each time i try it just tells me "login failed" and if i hit it again then it says "failed to get access key", this only happened after getting baldurs gate 3 from steam, however i was having some issues with vortex when trying to edit/delete large amounts of mods from skyrim SE, also from steam. changing profiles would never finish and mods wouldnt actually be removed. ive tried uninstalling/re-installing vortex, deleting everything, yet nothing changes.
