Montiness Posted September 18, 2023 Share Posted September 18, 2023 Hello, I don't have masses of time anymore to look in to doing this myself, and honestly am probably not capable of it anymore due to other circumstances. Current flight, combat and looting is abhorrently bad. 1. assign different colours to different objects and their direction indicators, instead of the default white for neutral, blue for friendly and red for hostile a. Friendly - Green (to not be confused with the blue quest indicator) b. Enemy - Stay Red c. Neutral ships - Stay White d. Ship wreckage loot - Grey e. Cargo containers/ Asteroid loot - Pale yellow f. Disabled enemy ships - Orange 2. current cycling is.... very bad. Idea to add cycle keys for a. Enemy Ships b. Friendly / Neutral Ships c. Lootable objects (by distance) d. A separate one, probably remaining as e, to select or cycle through object in direct view (hostiles priority) 3. Assigning of individual keys for powering up or down various systems, instead of the despicable alt-WASD currently implemented. ie. 1-0 is not used in space combat. using 1-5 to increase power (shift 1 to 5 to decrease) to systems is much more friendly than currently enacted.mouse wheel could be implemented for hostiles cycling, shift / ctr could be used to toggle the others. 4. Relocating the Shields/Hull display around the larger reticle area. (light blue bar for shields, grey or other bar for hull) The more relevant information being all in the same place instead of all over the screen 5.
