Oldwolfe Posted July 5, 2009 Author Share Posted July 5, 2009 First of all my apologies if I haven't been very clear. I'm running on almost no sleep due to a certain amount of discomfort in my knee. I was rambling on quite a bit and probably wasn't clear enough. 1) When I was talking about targeting lasers, I was talking real life, not about the game. I have seen some mods that add targeting lasers, but that's not what I was talking about. When I was rambling on about combat and such, I was talking real life, not gaming. 2) As far as buying the disk at an electronics store, I can't drive myself due to the fact that my knee was crushed about seven years ago, which is the reason I am retired. ( I had enough years in to retire, but had no intentions to due so. ) I have to rely on friends to drive me around and since the nearest electronics store that is sure to have the disk is over an hour away, I'm not going to ask them to. The local Wal Mart will carry the disk eventually, I am sure. 3) The look was created using a variety of different mods. Like one that removes the pip-boy glove to allow for wearing a normal left hand glove. Mostly, the mod I used for the broken up pieces so I could mix and match is the "Shoulder Pad" mod by Sin7188. http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5424 4) The hex pattern is from a high rez texture I downloaded for the Chinese Stealth Armor. A lot of mods that alter the makeup of existing armors apparently only change the mesh, not the texture. So the high rez textures I downloaded show up on the new piecemeal outfits. 5) Rixirite, the picture of Miranda is nice, although I couldn't see too well due to the darkness. It's called the Valhalla sniper rifle. http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=439 There is a variety of skins for that rifle. http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=751 Damage-wise it doesn't seem to be overpowered, comparable to the Vanilla sniper rifles. However, it IS accurate. I can't understand why the vanilla weapons in-game are CALLED sniper rifles when they have problems hitting the broad side of a barn. Yet, there are a few weapons that have tack driving accuracy that really shouldn't. Like the Lincoln Repeater. There is a .223 and a .308 version of the Valhalla rifle. Well, apparently someone has gone and REALLY made one in real life. The History Channel is airing a commercial for an upcoming show that shows where an inventor actually went and made a poncho that creates that effect. I mean, my jaw dropped just from watching the commercial.
