@Nightfallstorm

This is a thank you and a pat on the back in the form of a circular.

So you're not the only one affected and getting it.

(Sorry, I don't like to write.)

I've looked at your mods (all) and I have to say I'm impressed and excited.

1.

Most (not all) are game savers and are invaluable to the functionality of Skyrim.

The others aren't strictly necessary, but they are welcome guests in my load order.

If only because they are all version dependent (Steam & GOG), (SE & AE), (paid & cracked).

2.

On the other hand because they are either SKSE Plugins, Light Plugin or ESP and ESM Free.

Unfortunately, my plugin limit was reached a long time ago, but with your mods I can still feed my mod-hungry Skyrim without the engine spoiling and having to throw up.

Regarding point 1:

It shouldn't matter for a modder where the user of his mods got the game from, only that he can and wants to use his mods.

If I can't use a mod that I think is great and would support because it depends on another one that I'm not allowed to use because its author thinks he's a moral guardian, it pisses me off.

An author who bans users because they have a cracked game or want to play with mods they personally don't like and therefore don't support them has no place in a free community.

Some examples of such dictatorship and discrimination are the mods:

"Fores New Idles in Skyrim (FNIS)" by Fores, which bans users of cracked games and users of moddrop from using its and all mods that depend on FNIS.

"CBPC-Physics with Collisions for SSE and VR" by Shizof, which bans users of cracked games from using his and all CBPC-dependent mods.

"Nemesis Unlimited Behavior Engine" by Shikyokira, who bans users of creature mods because he finds it gross and therefore his mod has no support for creatures packs.

There are many others that I don't want to list now as well, but these should suffice as an example to illustrate what I'm getting at:

It is NOT the job of a modder, but a matter of taste for the mod user to choose the mods in his mod folder !!!

Skyrim and most other games are fantasy games in which you can live out what is not possible or not allowed in real life.

What I want to experience in it is solely MY business!!!

If you want to play with children's mods, creatures mods, mods with exaggerated depiction of violence or sexual acts, that's a private matter!

Or if someone likes girls with cat ears and tails [:)]

meow

The use of a cracked game may be morally questionable, but given the unfair and dubious business practices of Steam and Co. it is justified and understandable.

You buy a game but you are not the owner, just the user.

You can play "your" game, but only under the conditions allowed by Steam.

I don't buy a car and then let the manufacturer tell me when, how often, where and how far I can drive or who I can take with me.

You pay for a game with money and if you play again with personal data that is resold by Steam and Co., supposedly to improve the games and user experience.

If Steam shuts down the servers and the bosses squander the money they've made in the Bahamas, you're screwed and you can take your encrypted backup copies with you right away.

If you change accounts, switch accounts, delete them or get banned, all "purchased" (actually just rented) games are gone and you will be asked to return your unlock codes.

Personal note:

This happened to me when I wanted to change my account name due to a typo, which is not possible.

So I created a new one to transfer my games to it before deleting the old one, which is also not possible.

So I lost all the games I bought and can now throw away the CDs/DVDs because activation with the new account is not possible.

NEVER AGAIN STEAM and Co.

I s#*! on the criminals on Steam and their copy protection virus.

And in order not to fill the pockets of the rip-offs at Bethesda, who sell a game twice without improving it and charge a mod that should actually be free, I have (yes, I confess) myself got a pirated copy.

The term "pirated" could probably be applied to the Steam version that was stolen (expropriated) from me.

If you read this and threw your hands over your head in shock, let me tell you that hope is the last thing to die.

Because of the self-proclaimed advocates of morality mentioned in the post above, opponents of moral decay and their efforts to drive evil out of Skyrim and banish it to Oblivion, I now have the GOG version.

H A L L E L U J A H

But as heavenly as that may sound, it wasn't that great.

And that's where you: ***** Nightfallstorm ***** "Son of Sheogorath" comes into play.

As lackluster as the lunar skies are for the GOG version, without you and your dedication, wits and modding skills, it would be dark as a bear's ass.

Without "Address Library for SKSE Plugins" by meh321 and the mods they use, you (me too) could forget this version.

I think I speak to the heart of every owner (here the term is appropriate) of this version of the game when I say:

!!! T H A N K Y O U !!!

For your dedication, patience, willingness to suffer & pain and your love for the community.

Please keep it up.

But after all the praise for you and the criticism for the other mod authors, I have one more request.

If it is not beyond your abilities and your time, patience (and family; children; friends; dog; cat; unicorn etc. if you have one or more of them) allow it, give us a new one:

->>>---------------------> "Fantastic New Idles in Skyrim-Next Generation (FNIS-NG)" * <------------------<<<-

* Working title

Features:

---------

- Version independent (Steam & GOG), (SE & AE), (pays & cracked)

- Installation path of the game (of the games, if you have installed two versions like me) can be selected by yourself. (same as "BodySlide and Outfit Studio")

- Compatible with all types of animation packs.

- Backwards compatible with older mods that have the original as a prerequisite.

- Easy to use like the original but not as complicated and annoying as "Nemesis".

- Multilingual

If I've forgotten anything, someone else can chime in.

If someone knows another talented modder who would be suitable for this job, talk to him.

The original mod FNIS, FNIS SE, and FNIS Sources, are passed over to "The Care Taker", and are fully owned now by "Nexus Mods".

Nexus, whose business model is based on marketing intellectual property they don't own, should be keen to develop it further and release the source code.

Without the work of the authors who offer free mods here, there would be no Nexus.

I hope to hear from you and see what the other users have to say.

If all goes well we might have a new "FNIS-NG" soon.

Until then, take care of you!

PS: Sorry for the text wall but I had to get that out.

Machine translation (I'm German)
