gardenerstouch
I favor a single handed long sword for my spellsword breton. So far, I have not found anything better than a silver. Is there somewhere I can upgrade?
Malchik
There are hundreds of different swords. Why not look in the construction set under weapons? If you want a powerful sword to enchant early in the game do the following; from the gate at Balmora near the silt strider walk down the right hand bank of the Odai river until you see a bridge. Cross the bridge and continue at an angle of one o'clock to the top of a small ridge. Opposite you will see a door in the hillside. Go in and come straight out. Return to St Olms canton plaza in Vivec. Enter the haunted manor and find Dram Bero. He will give you a daedric Katana. The best in-game enchanted sword is probably Eltonbrand. There are threads on this elsewhere.
Raven7669
Are you talking upgrade in enchant value or damage? Anyway here is a link that will give you a list of all the enchanment values for different items. http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox/file/m...ment_points.txt In regards to damage, ebony, deadric, nordic, and I think Dwemer all have higher damage stats. hope this helps
gardenerstouch
Raven... I was interested in single handed long swords that are lighter in weight and inflict more damage. I keep running across lots of orc weapons (axes) with lots of damage points, but not anything that would interest my character. I have yet to run across any of the types of weapons you describe. I hope to soon. Malchik... I am intrigued by the katana. I'm heading out to look for it soon. Out of curiosity... once you enchant a weapon, can it be undone? I might want to enchant it again later with something better.
Raven7669
Couple things. The items you get from enemies and find in chest are usually, but not always, level based therefore at lower levels the chanses of you finding a daedric weapon on a random enemy or in a chest is small. As your levels increase i think its somewhere around 17-20 you will start to get enemies that frequently drop high end weapons. As for enchanting once you enchant a weapon it is final. You can't unenchant it. The good new is that for the most part once you start getting highend weapons you continue to get them so if you want to make something different just go to your loot room/house/vault and grab a new one. Dilvish
The Sword of White Woe is a good single handed sword (ebony broadsword I think). It has a decent enchantment already built in and is worth 17k Septims. Check out the Eastern Guard Tower in Balmora. It's very popular for sword wielders and not too hard for lower level characters to get.
