Much better than before, kudos to the team on this overhaul. Just have some things I want to point out cus it still has a few flaws.

- I don't know about other ppl but for me the police give up way too easy on stars 1-2. It literally takes less than 20 seconds for them to give up and the stars all go away if ur not in their immediate view (don't know if this is a bug).

- Also, currently if i kill a rando pedestrian i get one star, i kill another one still one star, I kill a third one and still same thing. Presumably I'm getting stars bc "someone in-game calls the police" or the act gets seen by police. Why is it on 1 or 2 stars the police don't seek you out? (or if they do very lazily) It doesn't make sense to know about a crime and not have units actively investigate the area of the crime for a respectable amnt of time, even if it is 1-2 star wanted level.

gtav's police system is a good example of this well executed.

Other than that, the overhaul seems to be well done from what I have experienced so far. Hopefully they can make a few minor updates to this, or a modder.

[ Edit: After a bit more testing, it seems that police do get spawned in and directed to around the player's vicinity on stars 1-2. However, depending on where the player is, the police ai can either investigate at around the right place OR be super far off. If the crime is near the streets, they can most of the time investigate the right place, however not all the time. If the crime is not directly near a street, in my observations, they are always way off the mark.

This in and of itself can be improved imo. Also, this problem is made greater by the fact that the police investigate for so little time and very lazily (they only walk a few measly steps) - like I mentioned previously.

I think the investigation time needs to be prolonged, the police given a radius of investigation on the map, and the police ai pathfinding be improved to allow them to better pinpoint and investigate the area of the crime, regardless if it is near the streets or not. ]
