Axene52
I bought Dragon Age through EA's Origin as it was on sale a couple years ago, and decided recently I wanted to install the mod MetaGame Items by xatmos. I've installed it using the modder, then double checked the file pathways. Everything seems correct, but no items appear in my inventory. I tried installing a couple other mods but nothing seems to work. I'm assuming this is probably due to the fact that I bought it on Origin and Origin is known to be looking down their nose at mods? Does anyone have any tips that may help? Edited January 13, 2014 by Axene52
Thandal
a) It has absolutely nothing to do with running the game through EA/Origin. b) EA/BioWare has been highly supportive of Dragon Age mods, (witness the DA-Toolset they published, and this response to a query from the Nexus Staff about the topic.) c) If by "installed it using the modder", you mean using NMM, then the problem is that xatmos packaged and posted this mod before NMM for DAO even existed. It needs to be unpackaged and the particular independent .dazip files that you want to use then need to be installed. NMM just doesn't know which of the files you want to use. See the author's instructions and install them manually, or see NMM for how to do so with stand-alone files.

It was done using Da Modder (as specified by the mod creator), and then I double checked that they were in the correct folders. "b) EA/BioWare has been highly supportive of Dragon Age mods, (witness the DA-Toolset they published, and this response to a query from the Nexus Staff about the topic.)" I wasn't talking specifically about DA, more along the lines of that I've heard a number of friends say that others have been banned for modding on some games even when it only affected singleplayer, and one friend had a support member tell her she would be banned for Sims 2 mods (although I've never heard of said thing happening and I've modded my Sims games extensively.)
