StackEmHigh
I am working on a machinima series using Starfield as a studio. I'm having a great time with the caveat that I cannot seem to be able to change outfits on NPCs. I have looked for tutorials on this, but have had no luck. I am hoping that there is a way to do this using the console command. I have tried SKK Console Utility Script and can use it to access a companion's inventory, but I am limited to their choice of weapons and ammo. I would love to hear from anyone who can help me find a solution. Thanks for your time.
StackEmHigh
I have figured out how to change outfits on NPCs. It's really simple and after feeling foolish for even asking (it's that easy), I thought I'd share here how to do so. Trade gear with your companion. Navigate to your own inventory and give the companion the outfit you want them to wear. Navigate to their inventory. Hit "B" to equip the outfit. Done. Guest deleted190390914
If you know the form ID of the item you want them to wear, you can open the console, click on the NPC, and use the command "equipitem X" where X is the form ID. You can search for equipment form IDs with the console "Help" command. For example, "Help flightsuit 4 ARMO" will show you all the available flight suits. In the help command, 4 is the type of search (forms) and ARMO is the form type (armor / wearable items).
