Hidint armor parts using alpha channels

Hi there, I have an issue and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

 

I want to hide a part of armor, in the specific, a pouch. I've identified the "region" in the texture, selected it and deleted, then saved with the Paint.net plugin in BC7 sRGB. Other edited textures works fine with this format, from this application.

 

Thing is that, in game, instead of seeing "nothing", I'm seeing everything pitch black.

Ive saved all textures of this specific model (ao, roughness, etc...) all with the part deleted, and all in sRGB.

 

I understand that BC7 should have alpha channel, what am I doing wrong? Thanks

I'm posting just to share this. It apperars that transparecy is done through opacity maps, where darker is more transparent up to invisible. This means that if the selected .nif do not have an opacity_map.dds, you can't do the trick, untill we can save new nifs with different custom textures
