Reduce size of a pak file

After the latest update, I barely got any space left on my gaming laptop. So I wonder, is it possible to reduce the size of some of the mods I've been using?

 

For example, one mod might contain 30 different (and beautiful) hairstyle option, but I'm only interested in using two or three of them.

 

I tried to extract the mod with ExportTool and I see a few different subfolder named Generated, Localization, Mods and Public. Is it enough to just remove the files I'm uninterested in the Generated folder? Or do I have to dvelve into the Public folder to remove thumbnails from the CC?

 

There's plenty I don't quite understand, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
