Zands
Hey there. I've tried a variety of methods but I can't seem to.. get this to work. And as wonderful as "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire" and "Way Back Home" are, a bit of variety never hurt, while keeping the old stuff. So I tried to get the added stuff to GNR. Existence 2.0 is good for occasions (it gives an entirely new perspective of the freaking game), but it doesn't have the same feel as GNR. I'm ready to put my pride in a box and shove it into the fridge for later. Would anyone give detailed instructions how to get GNR More Where That Came From working? It'd be much appreciated. deckel11
Well, it certainly isn't the easiest mod to install. I'm afraid I can't give you any more detailed instructions than what's included in the readme. Make sure you match up the ESP with the number of songs you download (20, 40, etc). And it requires renaming some vanilla game files for it to work, those files can be found on the page for Pimbot's original fix mod (which OldManMose uses in his). For my 2 cents, OldManMose did a great job selecting music and reformatting it all to work with the game (horribly complicated IMO). I tried it out and the extra variety was nice for a while, but what started to bother me was that some of the new songs are at a very low volume compared to the standard ones. Kind of ruined the immersion for me. There are ways to fix that with sound editing, but way more time than I wanted to put into it. So I stopped using "more where that came from" and I'm now just using Pimpot's "GNR fix" mod which corrects some of the errors with GNR in the vanilla version but doesn't add any extra songs. Zands
I still want to give it a shot, even if the sound may put one off. It may help if I zone in on the confusion point regarding the readme, in that case. It says: "Extract files from Sound.BSA or download GalaxyNewsRadio[WAVPack]" I have absolutely no idea where this sound.bsa is or how to extract from it. I looked for a GalaxyNewsRadio[WAVPack] but I've never heard of such a thing and my google search comes up.. meaningless.

Forget extracting the files, that's extremely complicated unless you're very experienced with mods. The "WAVPack" can be found with Pimpbot's original "GNR Fixed/Extended" mod on Nexus. You just have to download that and then unpack it to your Data folder. THEN you can install the GNR "more where that came from mod" and it should work. Again, I have to warn you, I'm fairly experienced with using different types of mods and this one is definitely one of the more complicated ones to use.
