lich39
Hello.I am about to start a new game of Oblivion. It is not the first time play, I have played it with two characters before and I think Oblivion is the best game I have played so far. Last time I played it was one year ago, but this time I will use major mods too.OK, now for the thing I need advice for. I am starting as female Imperial with thief birth sign. I was thinking of creating a custom class with these major skills:-blade-marksman-hand to hand-light armor-destruction-restoration-mercantile (this last skill maybe changed) Now, I do not know how to name this class. The way of playing I decided to try was something between monk and mage with bow. I will be using mostly bow, blade as a backup weapon and hand to hand just so I try it, because it seems like fun. But I will also use magic skills with the emphasis on destruction and restoration. The last skill I want to choose one from the stealth group, not fighting or magic based. Now I want my class to be named somehow good, which would describe this way of playing as much as possible.Another thing I need help with is naming my character. Now I maybe do not have much imagination to remember any good woman name, but I do not care. So any suggestion is acceptable.Okay that is all I can remember for now. Any advice will be appreciated and thanks for your time.

Morrighan Acolyte
If you need help coming up with names you can go to behindthename.com or seventhsanctum.com. Behind the Name is a great site that I use a lot if you want to have your character's name coincide with his/her personality or traits. Seventh Sanctum is another awesome site that has a lot of generators for many different things. Good luck on finding names! :)
lich39
Hey!Thanks for the replies, I just started exploring now. I find the site Seventh Sanctum pretty useful not just for character's names but also enchanting items. click on "cutom class" in character creation. At the end of it you can then name the class you have createdI meant how to name it in the way like vanilla has mage, warrior, thief, assassin etc. Well I wanted to start immediatelly so I left it as adventurer :PSorry if I had not been clear enough. Netwit2008
When I started my Oblivion character, I knew I wanted a Redguard, but not with the usual RG attributes. I like to use magic and stealth. I used the custom menu to put in the major skills I wanted. When I was done, I named the custom class "PanthrClan." Panthers are good fighters, sleek, black and stealthy, so it made sense to me and I liked it. As for names, I keep a list of names I see from wherever. Honestly, most of my names come from the Bible or they are derivatives of biblical names. My characters are always female. My Morrowind character's name was Mattenai. This character in Oblivion is named Gemalia. In Fallout my character's name is Kymbral. In Hellgate London, Melodia (which my daughter gave me crap about, lol Said it was too girly). I've had Tamar, Keturah, Timnah, Jahzreel, Zipporah and Kymbara in my Diablo games. If I had a male character, I'd name him Boaz or Jeshurun. I like Dathan too. Naming the character is always a big deal to me. I take way too long on it probably, lol I look at their face, think of their skills and personality. Then I choose the name that seems right given those elements. I'll have to check out the name sites mentioned. When I name objects, e.g. enchanted stuff, they are usually Gemalia's + "a unique item name." One of my favorites was making a blade that paralyzed, calmed and stole health. I called it Mattenai's Xanax Blade, lol I made a fortify fatigue glass cuirass that I named Gemalia's Vivarine (after the pills Vivarin that give you energy). I guess I'm a bit OCD about naming things, lol  Good luck with your character. Creating and naming them is so much fun!
Sinisister
If you google "synonyms for paladin" or "female warrior names" you can find a lot of great classes (not specifically female) or names. For female warrior classes in particular, you could settle for valkyrie, amazon, virago, or better yet look up these words in other languages. I think there's a console command to change the name of your custom class... You can read about showclassmenu Change Class here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Console, but be warned! I have not personally tried this, so no idea if their trick works or if you can rename it here. Anybody?
endgamecutter
yes Sinister, you can rename it through the console. Hell, you can change about anything from the console. I don't recommend consoling yor class name though. I think it resets your skills. You may or may not be too low level to care, but its still something to be aware of. shu0001e
myself i think you should make your class a brawler and and just throw a bunch of letters togerther or remake a movie character.
