JoKelly
I'm currently working on a mod for personal use, mostly as a learning event. Im wondering if there are scripts available where a PC can place a weapon and or armor into an area scripted to act like a box or Cabinet and have it appear on a wall, or in the case of armor in a display case or is this even possible. what I am hoping to do, is once Deadmoney is completed the PC can take a quest to find parts to repair a couple of Mr. Handys, when repaired they clean the abandoned bunker and transfer control to the PC when the cleaning is completed, a second quest will lead to a key unlocking a Secret door that when opened reveals a room with tube shaped display cases for armor on one wall, and the on the other wall are weapons hanging, where the character can store his own gear as well and score a few extra weapons for repairs or resale. A third quest will lead to opening the passage blocked by debris to reveal a Clinic with an auto doc that can be upgraded. So any pointers are welcome, GECK is not that intuitive to use LOL, but Im getting there. I hope to at some point add some new settlements to the map with side quests. Figured the bunker idea would be the best way to learn.
HakunoWolf
A pointer for scripting is download Geck power-up, it's a tool that enables the scripting error messages for scripts, it works most of the time(I'm having some bad luck right now and will make a topic tomorrow if I feel like I need to.)Also, there should be scripts that allow you to do that, not sure exactly how all the scripting works, but would also suggest checking out the New Vegas Script Extender as that extends scripting capabilities for modders.
