xiandaxxx
I recently started the quest in MM where you go through the portal in his basement. After enough exploring I figured out when you kill those ice astral demon things an astral stone appears nearby in the center of a circle for you to pick up and place on one of the 5 pedestols. On my first try, I got to one of the demons, killed it, then I died(without picking up the stone). I restarted from my last save, then, got the other 4, but since I had to restart I only had 4 of the 5. The 4 i got were from every other area except where I got the first one on my first try (When I died). So I went back there and... he didnt spawn. went out and back in. Still didnt spawn. Loaded last autosave.. didnt spawn. Loaded back a save BEFORE I even STARTED the quest. STILL DIDN'T SPAWN!! Not only that, but the area where I got the other 4 ones didn't have their gaurdian demon things spawn there either. Infact, some of the still had the BODIES of the gaurdians, which I had killed in a save game 2 hours after the savegame I was playing that I saw the bodies on. What the hell is up with this glitch. Now I can't finish the quest. :wallbash: :wallbash:
simonp92
my advice is that you disable the ESP, load the game, save, enable the ESP again and start over... oh, and make sure that you arent in the realm when you disable the ESP the first time. Dracula420
uninstall midas magic, load your game, go to an interior cell(tiber septim hotel is best its bethesdas safe zone in the game), wait 3-4 days, save, and reinstall midas magic. if that doesn't work pm xilver as its his mod and he would know whats going on. if you have mods that change respawn times(the default is 3 days) turn them offwhile doing the midas quests. if you have mods that change the games time scale turn those off too. DonUsernametaken
Don't do anything involving complete restarts. Instead, open wrye bash and look at the load order, find the number the mod was given (can be 03,04,05, or letters). Then go in-game, open the console, typeplayer.additem xx0408F3 1replace xx with the number you got from the load order. Also1. Do not use autosave and quickloads or anything. Go into settings and turn them off completely. Use streamline instead and make lots of hardsaves. I'll write a guide on hardsaves later. 2. NEVER reload your game after you die, instead, CLOSE THE GAME and relaunch from windows.Oblivion has consolitis and it messes things up quite a bit. Because it needs to "load quickly" and stuff, the game doesn't reload your last save, it just puts you back to where you were and it tries to make things look like they were previously. This means that if you drop your weapon in a fight, and you reload, there's a good chance the weapon has been duplicated. This also affects OBSE and other scripts in that they cause CTD's when called after a reload.
