I need a hint/help on LOD Generation

Hello. I am following Luxor8071s Guide to create my own LOD. It worked just fine, but one issue occured:

 

my terrain looks pretty pixelated, especially close up. Now, i was unable to start the creationkit for whatever reason, and i really cant mess around reinstalling anything or such.

 

so instead of using archive2 to pack those LOD/terrain meshes and textures, i used Cathedral Assets Optimizer. I let it create mip-maps.

 

But, also xLodGen created mip-maps, at least i checked the box for that, as the guide told me.

 

my question is, do i have to uncheck "generate mip-maps" in CAO (Cathedral Assets Optimizer) to solve my problem or is it just something else that ich stuffed up...?

 

Well, thanks for reading so far, any hint or help much appreciated. Even if ones telling me i did bullshit tho, at least then i would know :p

Afaik, the mip-maps generation doesn't matter, except for lost time doing it twice. (but I could be wrong)

 

If you (quick)save & reload, do they look better / as they should? If so, its likely you have insufficient GPU-memory.

 

It happens to me every now and then, if I use 4K textures (for everything) & throw in a bunch of 8K's too (for tree's and such). The textures don't always show up correctly, but pixelated.
