GrimmHatter
I'd like to script some weather changes in a mod that will include my own custom weather sets made in the CS. My first related question is: Will my custom weather types interfere with any weather-related scripts from the game? I've played a good chunk of the MQ and through other parts of the game, but I don't know of any events so far that trigger depending on what type of weather is currently active. If there are any, I obviously don't want to break them by shoving my own custom weather in any time my scripts calls it. Second question: I'd like to change some of the cloud textures for my custom weather, but I have no idea where to find them. I'm looking for the CloudsThunderstormLow.dds and CloudsThunderstorm.dds files. I have the GotY edition and I've unpacked every single texture in the Oblivion and SI bsa's and then searched my hard drive but can't locate them anywhere. I have one Sky directory that holds a handful of textures. Only one of them has anything to do with clouds: secloudsclear01.dds. The other 6 or 7 are for nebulas and stars. Where are the other cloud textures? Clicking on the Upper and Lower file buttons in the CS takes me to my Oblivion/Data/Textures directory, but there's no Sky folder in there. Thanks. EDIT: Sorry, forget the 2nd question. I'm an idiot. I thought I had all the files in bsacmd checked but apparently not.
BossDweebe
The only conflict I know of is with Natural Environments as it includes additional weather patterns and cloud types.Natural environments has a separate esp for Natural Weather, sopeople will be able to choose between your mod and the NE mod,and still keep the rest of the NE mod. I have never heard of events being triggered by weather, and asNatural Environments is very popular, I think it is a safe bet that there are none.
