Mass effect ammo instead of 20 different ammo types

In mass effect, the weapon shaves the ammo from a dense block of metal within the weapons body, the idea with this mod is to replace all physical ammo and caseless ammo with thermal clips. This would mean to have guns just use thermal clip that store the heat and recharges the metal in the gun, and ejects when the heat sink is used up.
In other words, replace all ballistic ammo types to thermal clips from mass effect. I'm tired of having 20 different ammo types, especially when all the enemies are bullet sponges and I have to switch guns all the time. If I only find 1 or 2 types of ammo in the game instead of 20, then perfect.
