phforNZ
I'll put this politely (but I am completely and utterly frustrated at people who refuse to use Google).I Googled "OMOD". This is the first listing returned http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...t_is_an_omod%3F :rolleyes:It answers BOTH of your questions. Also, the forums have a search function. This question has been asked before - the answer will also already be here.

bben46
OMOD is a special format that a mod can be put into - not all can be downloaded in OMOD format, but all can easily be converted to OMOD.The big advantage of the OMOD format is the mod can be easily removed without leaving behind parts of itself in the meshes and textures folders. Then easily added back in without having to worry about getting the meshes and textures in the right places. It is one small part of the OBMM program (Oblivion Mod Manager) You can use OBMM without using OMODs. Most players use it to easily change the load order of their mods. OBMM is not a mod, but a utility program that runs outside of the game. If you don't have it, get it it is highly recommended. Note that as it is not a mod it does not install like a mod, so be sure to read the instructions for installing.
