RageIt
SO. If someone is able to pull this off he would be Chief Judge. Using the new cop system i have imagined that it would be theoreticly possible to apply its mecanism to gangs and factions, leading to: Blockwars. In the game world, u do too much bad, and the end boss is maxtac. It is implemented in the game, if a gang member kills a pedestrain during a fight the cops comes. But what if a blockwar happened ? In JudgeDredd Lore: a blockwar is when a two megabuildings are controlled by rival factions and decide to lock their own block and attack the other one. As for the intro scene of Judge Dredd of 1998. The turf war is equivalent to that nowadays. And both could fit in 2077 CyberPunk universe since it provides both "biomes". A blockwar requires the intervention of the judges. Many, in normal circumstances. Its quite the beginning of the game, in terms of lockdown. So the scale of it can vary. Close quarters...streets..buildings.. So basically a blockwar is a gangwar. And we dont have that in game. We have that storywise but not as an in game mechanic. A mod tried to counter that, awesome mod. But with the 2.0 police system, i think a talented modders team can acheive the grail. Implement the police and rivalries of MegaCityOne into Cyberpunk2077 and also seed something for others to grow upon. What if each faction could benefits for the new police system ? and what if they could trigger each others ? And What if.... you could join each one of them or NOT (and i do dream of having your own in game faction or small gang). The result would look like this: You are following the mainquest, and on your way, you decide to do some extra credits by playing the nice samaritan and do some NCPD work. In this area it will probably be TygerClaws this time, yep it is. You kill them, get the loot, the xp, some streetcred probably and you are on your way again. Normal hour in NC. But, this time, somehow, its different. Cause seemingly out of nowhere another TygerClaw goon showsup with a katana and tries her best at you...while some bullets traces reveals a flashy neon car driven by two other samourai wannabee punks in your kerenzikov state of perception. They are dead now, blood and metalic joints leading to the pavement and your knuckles. You take the katana she left from the wall its inserted in. Its junk, good for disasembling it. In a snap you brake it in two, keep the pommel and the base of the blade where the cyber is. But as soon as the rest of the blade touches the ground on a high pich, there is a group of Tygerclaws officials waiting to greet you with theirs hellokitty smartweapons.-Balls.. A few time later...you woke up like squidward. Its a good thing you could call for the Valentinos to help you out. The gigs you made for them before earned you their respect. And since you defeated the tygerclaws, now they will come stronger than before. And also this appartement they lend you. Nice. And the power weapons are too. You wont talk about the car in the basement and the stach of customise and faction only cyberware and weapon mods you have access too now via this new valentino's iconic seller they gave your contact to. In other terms, what if the Streetcred system was actually a thing in the gameplay of cyberpunk 2077 at last ?Many mecanisms of the game are locked by your streetcred level why not expending it ? Imagine V's appearance in Night City would actually cause some ripples in the quite pacific rivalries and hierarchies we actually encounter and act with in NightCity. If the police system was applied to every gang and corpo we could have after every random encounter with random gang members that you kill, you would get a star for this gang, and one for your gang if you call them. And if some local gang members start to look after you after the first one. If you kill them you get two: 2 stars. Some gang members would come with their own motorbikes....with the possibility to trigger the police against themselves or you. BUT if your street cred level in YOUR faction is lower than the stars you trigger by killing the local gangmembers, you cant call for help. But how do you do that ??? You ask me. I'm not a modder but id love to see it implemented. And as i dont know how it works i have imagined that the mod could work with some depedencies from other mods since they gave me this much global idea. The police system seems to work on a tag system. The game consider you as "x" and when you kill another "x" like a pedestrian, you become "y". And then it trigger all the "z" via game mechanics. If it could be encapsulated, or made such as you could source those x y z to different location or re-tag items, it would trigger the star mechanic. And with the mod Deceptious Coreit seems possible to link those locations or re-tag to quests hook, you could basically make nodes or packs of items link all togethers. And if you link those pack to the star system mechanic you can also imagine a thief mod (when you take an item from the maelstrom pack it triggers the police system too in a quest like manner to get your own streetcred and stars to call for your gang). And if you had to puch the idea to the limit: then it will requier a script to link all thoses packs togethers in dependencies as for some Warhammer 3 diplomacy mod: I know one problem arrise concerning what determines the level of other factions. But since if you side with a fixer in a specific zone you will encounter only two type of ennemies mostly and each time: the one you are against and the NCPD. Occasionnally you can encounter 3 when you roam the land that are not tied to NCPD sightings or jobs. Factions does not really matter at this point. if it was to be consider I suggest going into that direction ===> the game's story already provides us with the hierarchies we need. We got the corpos: Militech Arasaka NCPD MaxTac TraumaTeam and a lot other to choose from (Medicinal corpos etc etc). They constitute the god tier -> 4 and 3. Then there is tier 2 with the gangs, and tier one with the fixers and mercenaries and then The Plebe. By all of that we can say that diplomacy as the game provides it is divided in 3 or 4 factions. Which means that all mercenary factions has a base power of one base and permanent star. All gang factions has 2 stars. NCPD has 3 stars as for TraumaTeam. And corpo factions have 4 stars. And The Plebe 0 stars. And the more you act under the tag of any faction, the more you get streetcred for them and for the general game mechanic. And the more the adversary faction get downed in streetcred from the other one, the longer it stays at its base level of power. And because The Pleb has no quest for them or anything, it will keep the ingame balance and do not break the game. Except if you forgot to set in the script that a faction cannot trigger itself (or u have to allow duplicates of the same factions and a whole lot of duplicated dependencies to create this same same but different faction). So for instance If you start nomad u get power lvl 1, if u start street kid u get power level 2 and corpo lvl 4. Then the mod propose you to actively tag you into an existing faction group lets say Maelstrom or anything else. This would trigger side story gang custom quests. And with this custom quest tag it would trigger the script and enable the packs to possibly intervene as routine but add street creed to you and also the tag you have. And as for the game works, unlock new custom quests and custom rewards (lets say custom to differenciate it from base game tag and modded game) for you. It would allow bounty hunting quest and so much more to be done with ease since every tag could "call" for back up from his own faction by triggering their own "police system". And a lot of fights and turf wars with some imagination. "You just bought your new Sangre Maria shotgun from this new seller across the street. And also some mods for it. The ripperdoc gave you a nice discount on some topshelf gear and, Santa Maria, he even gave you the location of some crafting items if needed. He left you a message on your phone. At least, you are going to meet Takemura with some dignity. On the way you get a call from a local fixer. Takemura can wait you need cash. Its against Malestrom. Perfect. You get there and f*#@ them up with your new Valentino gear, but s#*! they can help themselves and call for back up DURING the gig ! It is runing crazy. 3 littles cars showed up filled with those grotesque clowns ! How can you stop them from coming and coming again ? Sure you will be a living legend with the Valentino pretty soon at this rate but what about the gig ? You have to get her to a safe location for **** sake, it was supposed to be easy not to bring the all gang after me !!! Lets call my chooms in backup then. " -> because your street cred lvl is superior than the maelstrom, and because this streetcred lvl is ALSO superior to their power level street cred equivalent for your faction, due to the fact that you did other gigs for other fixers or against them BEFORE, your backup has more stars than theirs when you call them. What about the gang war then if its for a fixer and not because you did a job for your gang's fixer ? -> Your backup and their backup can call for backup. And they will. "Hey Choom, they are pissing us off prettybad, Miguel is dead, Enchiladas is bleeding lets call for more" so pretty soon you end up lvl max star for the two factions. And modifiy the street cred lvl of both in the script as for gang power level or base star level dynamicly but based on the already streetcred reward system existing in the game. What about the blockwars you promised us before then ? Well there is always a gang member into the megabuilding so u can actually now start a gangwar into megabuildings or nearby. What will determine if its a blockwars is most likely if maxtac is involved. "s#*! WHY this old lady had to be there...now the NCPD is coming in..." In the movie JudgeDredd first of the name, the two rival gangs of two rival megabuildings allies. So this is the last feature this mod should provide. As for I introduced before, diplomacy. The Hierarchy in the game is story wise as an unmovable pyramid. But because of MaxTac and trauma team it is rigged. Since they are insurance for everyone in some sort. They are also a limit to the extent of power deployed on a scene of crime. Because everything of this happens publicly. So the introducing of Maxtax or the Traumateam will determine the outcome of the gangwars ultimately since they have the best gear and unlimited supply of it (hp bags also). But also the maxpower level in everyway. To be clear, what will happend when the fight turns into a gang war in term of balance of power is as such: Gang and corpos will have unlimited call for backup but not increasingly hard to fight. Instead of having 4 npc at your level you will have a shitload of them if you dont kill all of them and leave soon enough. And depending your street cred lvl for a specific tag, your first backup call will be limited to a permanent base star lvl. lets say reaching level 10 SC in your tagged gang or corpo or even ncpd and trauma team, or with your local fixer allows you to call for one backup of level 1 star as you are tagged as mercenary (but can go up to UrbanLegend wich is level max with a tag team) and gives you just few goons that comes around for you on a call by car or motorbikes. And depending of your level it will be more advanced cars, gears, and npcs. Thats all. But if a pedestrian was to be involved, the Plebe. Then MaxTax or the Trauma Team would intervene. They do hold the maxpower level in terms of lvl 3 faction wise but if a corpo got involved how do they rivalize with a Chimera ? or a Tank ? etc etc .... well lets make the news of NC shall we ? Thats when factions should be able to ally in game speaking. Lets say tygerclaws got involved with militech, and you got drones and mechs on the street now with plethora of tygerclaws using sandevistan and else with smartguns popping here and there...and Valentinos...and Maxtac...Based on the pyramid, Maxtac and Corpo should Ally and TygerClaws with valentinos should ally too. Thats when you get a blockwar. When two factions collides. against one another. -S and i think that is a new feature introduced by the new police system. Cops recognise each other when a summoned unit meets an another cops roaming and idling in the zone you are but not triggered by your crime and yet allies together against you. (I didnt spoil in this description, but the mod consist in having two different streetcred modifiers that allows you to customise your gameplay experience by choosing a team to tag and develop a story within the story. And with the help of modders (developping side quests and such and using the already humonguos library of mods that exists) and also enjoy the global streetcred experience bar in base game and base story. I introduce you Blockwars. A mod for Cyberpunk2077. ps: sory i didnt read back. .
