geck help

Recommended Posts

ok, im kinda new to modding in fo3, and the geck cant load any dlc. the official geck wiki says to put a line, bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1, in the GECKCustom.ini file, but i dont have a GECKCustom.ini. i've modded oblivion, and i can mod fo3 fairly easily, but i can only access most of the master fallout 3 file, no dlc or user mods. any help apreciated, thnks.

ums

did you check in my documents, my games, Fallout 3

My Geckcustom.ini is in the same place my Fallout.ini is

You also might check where your GECK is installed

If you mean the line isn't in the geckcustom.ini then maybe you have to add the line in

Were the DLC's always .esm, I thought they might be plug in's

did you master update, that will change them

in which case for the DLC's depending on if there were ever plugin's

but mostly always mods used to be plugins, all you would need is

the plug in version in your data folder, All you do is rename that plugin .esp to "2"

Like in the case of AlexScopionRifles.esp, just name it to AlexScopionRifles2.esp

Have it at the bottom of the load order unchecked, make your mod then delete it.

I don't have DLC's so I don't know, If they have content, like meshes an textures

then you should be able to unpack that corn, then assemble it into a new esp plug in you could load

sounds like a lot of work though, Not bad practice though to take someones textures an mesh an learn

to create .esp's with it, besides having the mod customed to the world you built.

Say man, you ever go take a poop, and when you get done you're like

Man that was POOPY...

anyway me rambling on about nothing that is probably going to help you because the problem isn't

that you don't have a GECKcustom.ini file, You just haven't found it yet.

I installed GECK on D:/ an it still put a .ini on C:/ in documents/games/fallout3

Idk if it's still not findable, use the windows search option, to search for that file name

then read the path to where it is located, if that doesn't work just install the GEEK again
