Cute elves textures

Hi!

 

As the topic says, I want to change the textures of the cute elves race mod since the seams between head and neck are very distinct to see.

I already tried to change them, but I wasn't satisfied.

The mod creates a folder "textures\characters\myelf\body", I guess I have to change the .dds in this folder.

Changing it had no effect, so i read the .esp file from the mod and recognized, that the mod wasn't using this .dds files. Instead it used the normal imperial files. There's an extra mod called "optional body textures for cute elves". I tried that one out and guess what, it now used the "...myelf\body" .dds files. I read the .esp again, and i recognized, that there is something... strange :confused: in it.

I don't even have a Characters\Imperial\Female\UpperBodyFemale.dds or a Characters\Imperial\Female\LegFemale.dds anywhere in my Oblivion folder. Anyway, i can change the body textures, but if i want to change the head textures, it doesn't work. The .esp says, that the mod is using this file for the face textures "Textures\characters\myelf\body\ElfFace.dds". But if I change it, nothing happens, it still has the same head textures in-game as before.

 

 

PS: There's some other very weird thing I've encountered. If I use the "enhanced skin for cute elves" mod, my in-game "cute elves" characters get a tattoo around the navel. I added the tattoo to the texture, but I never saved it. I can't even find a texture, that has a tattoo (beside Ren's Mystic elves).
