Jessterr
Just sharing my experiences.I have used Vortex for every single mod install so far. Currently I have 42 mods, but I have tried about a dozen and uninstalled them. I have had no trouble doing this at all. Well, since launch anyway. I had issues at many points back in alpha but I can't promise those were not just me being dumb.If you're currently fine with using only Mod Manager or manual installs then great.. But if you're lazy like me and want to use Vortex to handle installs and updates then you need to use both. Use BG3 mod manager on top of Vortex. Vortex installs them all fine without a single issue (in my limited experience). I just launch BG3 Mod Manager afterwards to adjust load orders. I do want to point out that I check installation instructions on every mod page to make sure I don't have to do anything special with Vortex. Some mods require being installed as a replacer, some as an engine injector. Pay attention to these and any mentions of specific load order requirements and you'll (probably) be fine.I only say probably because, you know, we're mudding. We're all going to break something every now and then.
cam5d
Very interesting. Indeed I have not encountered anything that BG3MM can install but Vortex can't, just the other way around. Also, the update feature is great. However, I don't know BG3MM load order advantages. With vortex you can basically just drag and drop and of course export/import, what can you do better with BG3MM's load order manager other than reordering a few mods you select at once? Thanks Edited October 24, 2023 by cam5d
