I keep getting owned...

I have OOO, and while I do like the variety of creatures in the world, I keep getting destroyed by almost everything I come across. A lot of what ends up attacking me kills me in like 2 or 3 hits, so I end up dying constantly. Either that, or I have to run from everything, which makes the game hardly any fun. Granted, I'm level 2. So, as I progress will things become easier? Or am I gonna get owned constantly through out the game? and is there a way to not be such a pushover in the game? I have my difficulty slider right in the middle, I don't what anything to be stupid easy. I just want a happy medium.

 

So yeah, I'm getting really frustrated with dying so much, and feeling like I have NO chance against anything that isn't a rat.

 

I'm not so sure it's OOO that's causing this "problem" or not so I'll list all my mods that I have active.

and with OOO the only thing I have checked is normal leveling, besides the "Obscuro's Oblivion Overhaul" esp and esm.

OOO has some static spawns in the world which can mean death for low levels. You might want to hang around the IC and use fast travel as much as possible until you are a higher level. Once you get your health and fighting skills up, you'll probably have fewer problems. It's nothing broken, it's designed that way so that the world isn't so newbie friendly. In reality, if you go hiking in the woods away from civilization, you're gonna get mauled by something other than just rats and the occasional wolf.

Mmmhmmmm which can make it tons more fun if you like to risk your life all the time. I usually snipe big stuff and just run like heck when they get close when I'm just starting like riding a bull really lol you can try it when your inexperienced and it's really fun but you just might get killed.

a companion mod! I have adreanaline Oblivion, OOO, and deadlly reflex all making Oblivion that much harder. so what do I do? Hire me some bodygaurds!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they do a fabulous job, they really do. My men attack the beasteses and I pin them full of arrows from the flank!!!! really helped me survive as well as kept the challenge alive.

 

NOTE: dont recruit over like 5 people if you want a challenge, plus, the oblivion engine isnt made for large battles, figured that out the hard way. (lag)

Or, you could get a modded sword + gear (of great strength), no telling what you'd have to do to get it though.
