VoxDraconis
I hope you're all doing great. I've got an awesome idea that I think could really spice up Baldur's Gate 3! I've been playing the game religiously and wanted to propose something a bit quirky and fun – the Gourmet class and the College of Couture subclass for Bards. The Gourmet Class: Inspiration: The Gourmet | GM Binder Imagine a character who doesn't just fight with swords but also with kitchen utensils, summoning mouthwatering dishes and elixirs in the heat of battle. The Gourmet class is all about embracing the culinary arts in a magical way, adding a unique flavor (pun intended) to the game. Additionally, I think it would be really cool to implement some form of summonable cauldron or pot for the gourmet class. Possibly acting as a restoration or buff station depending on the meal cooking. Additionally, concentration could be used such that meals in the cauldron take a certain amount of turns to "finish cooking" (make the buff or restoration available for use). The College of Couture Subclass for Bards: Inspiration: College of Couture | GM Binder Ever thought about how fashion could be used as a form of magic? Well, with the College of Couture, Bards could use clothing, accessories, and a bit of style magic to charm, mesmerize, and even bewilder enemies and allies. Plus, they could customize their look and unlock special abilities based on their attire. These ideas might not be your usual sword and sorcery fare, but that's the point! They're meant to add a playful and unconventional twist to the game. Edited October 9, 2023 by VoxDraconis
VoxDraconis
My chief argument for why this should be developed: massive half-orc butcher collecting meats for the pot...so fun
