Are You on the Vurtibird, at Andrews air base?

  • [03] BrokenSteel.esm \ Quest \ 030011AD <DLC03BS3>

Objective 80 is where you are stuck? there are two " (Board the Captured Vertibird.) " , instances that take place, To determine exactly where in the series of events you are at, I need to know of which event your in?

It goes like this, there are two cut scenes. one when you "Board the Captured Vertibird." to land elsewhere and watch every thing get blown to bits, and another when you are spirited back to the citadel.

which scene? Just Encase, I made a patch that might work for you. http://www.2shared.com/file/QZsu4hq9/Who_Dares_Wins.html

Yes i'm on the Vurtibird, at Andrews air base.

The game now freeze's at the 1st fade-to-black (the sound file doesn't sound right). The 1st couple of times it froze while we are sitting and are told we are going to land to view the fireworks. And that actually happened once (and like a dunce i didn't save); however the game froze upon entering the Vurtibird for the 2nd time.

I applied your .esp patch, but nothing seemed to change (i made sure to activate it). I began at a save just before going out to the flight deck - should i have loaded a much eairlier one?

By-the-way, I have never (ever) recieved such a wonderful and useful responce to one of my game problum questions - thank you very much, john

that patch was meant only for you. it fit's that sequence of events, I did try to cover all avenues with it, but.....it seems something else is wrong.

So, post the system settings, AKA graphics outside the game as in the display settings, and in game menu size as in small, medium,Large.

Possible a direct-x issue. If you have other mods installed, that may be where the issue is. that patch was designed for Just fallout3 and it's DLC "Broken Steel."

it is possible the game is loading the data out of order too. that will cause the problem. post a load order.

  • 4 weeks later...

if you should read this thanks again Purr4me for trying to solve my problem; i studied up a bit on F03Edit and saw where your patch came from - thanks.

it turned out to be something to do with multi core (more than two) pc's - i applied a recomended ini change and my freezing problem (which had gotten much worse; not just at that BrokenSteel cut-scene, but frequently in-game) went away. gratitude, john
