Animation Problems

Ive recently downloaded NPC Animations and wish for a certain animation to work on my NPC.

There is a whole load of animations from sitting down, kissing, hugging to sleeping etc.. But I simply cant find a way (yet) to get the sitting down one to work. It desribes that you need to set the idles to 0 except for the one which it uses.

 

Ive added the animation file on the menu below the one where you choose the NPCs heads.

 

In the AI then Wander options when double-clicked on a charactor it lets you set certain idles to different numbers. Different idles are different animations which the NPC displays.

 

The animations are created by RX-31 and if anyone uses this package please let me know.

OK, Ive now discovered it has to be in the a/ folder within meshes. Another problem has arose. Its easy enough to place the anim on the NPC but it continues to loop constantly. Can anyone with script knowledge please let me know how to script it to play once and hold its place.

I know there's a model out there (can't remember where, maybe someone else can help you) of sitting NPC's. It uses a modified pants model and puts them down into the ground. So really from the knees down, they're in the ground, but the pants model looks like they're sitting. It doesn't do anything to fix the hands, however, and they stay down to the side.

 

For your animation, if I understand it correctly, you have them actually animate sitting down? And can't freeze the anim there?

 

As far as I know, you can't. Maybe try Scripting for Dummies. Otherwise you'll need a new anim of them just sitting, and add that to them.

Thanks guys. Ive found the sitting pants mod and am having some problems of getting them into my mod but Im sure Ill be ok soon enough.
