TheGodOfClowns
I've spent the last 2 days trying to get fallout 4 to not CTD on launch. Initially I believed a specific mod to be causing the issue but buffout and the crash log reader thingy couldnt find anything specific, and eventually I realized that disabling all my mods didn't fix the issue anyway. I've uninstalled through steam, I deleted the remaining files in the steam folder. I deleted the fallout 4 folder in documents/my games. I deleted the fallout 4 folder in appdata. are there any more folders that fallout 4 generates that could theoretically be corrupted?
LarannKiar
Upon installing the game, some Registry entries are created too but I highly doubt they would be the source of CTDs. The only folders I know of are: ..\My Documents\Fallout4..\steamapps\common\Fallout 4%LOCALAPPDATA%\Fallout4 If the CTDs persist after reinstalling the game then launching it with no mods, then it's probably not game issue (I'm not very familiar with mod and load order managers though). If nothing helps, try reinstalling graphics drivers and such. Or have you installed any Windows updates shortly before the CTDs started to happen?
