Mo 1.4 and Mo 2 update

I don't know much about fashion. Is it possible to replace mod organizer 1.4 with Mo 2 without damaging the assembly and generally how to make it all work? Do I need to clear my cache? I tried to simply install MO 2 in the same folder and redirect the profile, mods, cache, etc. folders. When I launched Mo 2, everything was fine, but Skyrim itself did not start, even the process did not start. Launch - a few seconds - unlocking Mo 2 and that's it, the game doesn't start, but it doesn't give any errors either, although then the SKSE files appear in Overwrite. If possible, write in private messages, it will be more convenient to follow the response

mate let see if I get this ?? you want to override MO2 with MO1.4 NO.... but like a policemen, I shite you not, once said to another policemen about me

"mate you cannot arrest him, it is not a crime to be stupid"

no joke, I wisen up, I hope you do to

But the question is WHY ?????

Basically you can override forwards but not backwards without unforeseen issues happening, however I would not be shocked if there a guide on how to do this, with first do this, then that, jump up and down, do hokie pokie, boom shaka la, you have gone backwards..

When you replace MO1 with MO2, I do not think the settings and such carry over. In such case you would need to go through all of the game and utility launch options and ensure that they are pointing to the correct locations. But I cannot guarantee that that is all that needs to be done. When I switched from MO1 to MO2, it coincided with a switch from LE to SSE. Everything was "fresh and new" for me in that case.

Personally, I would have installed MO2 into a separate folder, set it up to run the game, copied over all the mod and profile related data, ensured that that worked and then uninstall or remove MO1 completely. Of course, if there is an SSD involved, re-directing the folders might be better. But I do not remember if MO1 wipes the mod and profile related folders when being uninstalled.

Yes, I created a separate folder for MO 2 and transferred the profiles and mods folder there, but Skyrim simply did not start. It seems that the loading order, all the mods, etc. have not changed, but the game does not start. I'm already thinking about just rebuilding the game myself by installing all the same mods, but there's also a problem here. It seems that I have an LE assembly, but it has SKSE, but I did not find SKSE on LE on the Internet, only CE, the more I find out, the more problems I have. Can I do without SKSE? at least Mo 2 on the bare game doesn’t launch it either (without mods), it seems I’m doing something wrong

Hello, what I would do is not move the profile but rather reinstall each mod you have in the corresponding order, this is because most have additional options that are generated when installing them with any mod manager, one by one by one, and their respective requirements if they have them. rebuild with bodyslide too, reinstall with fnis (if you use it), use LOOT. It's a big job but it's a one-time job and you save yourself all the trouble. Then you grab that MO 1.4 and send it to the beyond with everything and profile included

If I remember correctly, the 1.7.3 download is for skyrim LE
https://skse.silverlock.org/
(Since I didn't remember, I searched for 32 and 64 bits and all the results sent me to the same page.)

In theory you should have this and redo everything:
-MO2
-Skse
-BodySlide and Outfit Studio
-FNIS
-any mod you want
-LOOT

-( hope I don't forget any important ones)
-a lot of effort and love to do it

I play in skyrim LE, There is a different one from FNIS, but I don't use it.

Unfortunately I am not up to the task of solving any problem and I do not have any advanced knowledge, what I put above is what I would do.

good luck hope it helps you

I just use a ready-made assembly and when I tried to assemble it from scratch I already had difficulties at the start, as I described above, the game without mods with MO 2 simply did not start. I have put the link to the skse page above, you click on it, if you use skyrim LE you download version 1.7... if you use another skyrim you click on the one that corresponds to you on that page.

You download the installer file with Steam, you download it as an .exe file or you download it as a compressed file, either works. They are all the same installer file.

Don't download it from anywhere.

----------------

It seems strange to me that skyrim doesn't work only with mo2 without mods.
You should be able to play.
There must be something incorrectly installed somewhere that causes conflicts,

-the mo2 configuration routes are wrong

-mo2 is recommend installing it in a folder other than programs files

-perhaps you have installed a mod manually and you do not take it into account, one that requires skse or skui or or any other as a dependency and that is why the game stops.

-Maybe you should either verify the files of skyrim on steam or if you think you may have done something in the game that you don't remember, adding something or whatever, you may also want to uninstall and delete everything that remains in the skyrim folder and reinstall it.

----Always keep in mind to verify that the mods you use are still available for download. Otherwise, you save the file you have in a secure folder and use that to install them manually

thanks for the advice, I know about fnis, but I’ve never used the rest, is there anything that needs to be configured when building the game from scratch?

the installation of those programs is all intuitive and each mod or program comes already configurable to follow the steps, it is all very simple.

You start with mo2, then skse, you add bodyslide, cbbe, skeleton, fnis and then you add the important mods like papyrus, skui, Mfg Console, Fuz Ro D-oh, there are many, if you want I can see what I have in mine and I share it with you, now I don't remember them all.

To use bodyslide and others you need a body:

Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Edition -CBBE-

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2666

You can also use a skin:

Fair Skin Complexion

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51602

To use fnis and others you need a skeleton:

XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended - XPMSE

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68000

or any other it is of your choose. I use cbbe hdt from Caliente's

This is what I use, if you do not use cbbe or fnis and you use another you should see compatibilities and/or required patches

(Above this post I gave you another answer, only since you made two different posts I gave you my opinion on each post.)

There is a person who, in my opinion, is the best at explaining tutorials, because I usually forget the details and I only remember the big image. In an internet search, you look for this man.
