I have a Sound error from wav file that is repeating - the bug occurs on alll three of my machines

you might have this too - listen to your skyrim ambient sounds - i thought my mod was COT was doing it - nope 2 of my machine dont have that mod and i tried many other mods on the other machines - on this main machine I have a realtivley clean install ( just some TBBP :smile:

Steps i have taken

upacked ----- > sound. bsa

I listened to all the wavs that had amb near the front of the file path

I found the wav that is exactly the one that bugs me

this is the wav file : sound\fx\ambr\wind\forestpine\ambr_wind_gust_b_01 <--------------------

the mp3 .wav file -> ambr_wind_forestpine_gust_B_1

This sounds like wind but with and annoying and distinctive bump bump that repeats every 10 15 seconds outside most everywhere

I cannot hear most small sounds becuase of this bug - i use headphones so its really loud in my ears.

1. best choice : I would like to fix the file that is calling this sound over and over agin and tell it to let some of the other amb sounds in and have some play time !

how about some quiet time too ? !! too much to ask ?

2: put in a differnt file that isnt so irritating and Il listen to that over and over agin for the resat of my skyrim days ? HELP ! some regular wind would be okay i guess

Maybe a bit late; I'm just coming from this thread because the forum suggested yours as similar tagged.

Regarding the "put it back in" part: you don't have to! In your game's Data/ directory, create the subfolder structure sound/fx/ambr/wind/forestpine/ and put your edited ambr_wind_gust_b_01.wav file in there. - The game will automatically override any file from the original bsa archives if another file of the same name in the same subfolders exists in the Data/ directory.
