mchevallier
Every time I launch Vortex, a pop up window appears warning me that it is being run with admin rights. I am NOT running it with admin rights. I have double checked the shortcut's properties and run the exe file directly, my User Account Control is turned on, whenever I run a program with admin rights, I get the standard Windows 10 notification with a prompt to permit or block the program. Something is going wrong with the detection here. Checking Task Manager under the details column, Vortex is NOT running with elevated permissions, and UAC virtualisation is disabled. The version of Vortex I am running was released on 30th October 2023, version number 1.9.7. Does anyone know how I can circumvent this?
Zairisvess
I had a similar issue just today and i was able to solve it pretty easily. When i tried to normally uninstall vortex, it would not completly do it as some files remained wich could not be removed due to the same message you already mentioned. I might sound a bit silly but i simply rebootet my Computer and directly after logging into my userprofile before doing anything else i deleted the remaining files. from a try before that i learned that i would get that same error again if i fiddled with something else first but when i did that right after the reboot, it worked. Sadly i can't tell you how or why that is, since i am just a layman and got no clue myself, just that for me, it worked. good luck
