Bogus Fallout 4 "active download" stuck at 0%

Somehow I managed to have the same mod download occurring twice in a row?  I tried to cancel one of the downloads and the other seemed to complete successfully.  However I have an "active download" listed at 0% in the bottom left of my Vortex mods screen.  When I look at the download screen, the download is not listed, but the left hand column shows a count of 1 next to "Downloads."  I don't know that it's keeping anything from working correctly, but I would love to make it go away.  Is there any way to remove/delete/cancel this bogus download?  I am not a premium customer.  I can't imagine that it makes a difference, but the stuck mod was for Fallout 4, not Skyrim AE.

yeah, i get that a lot with FO4 downloads. I recall a ticket was opened on GIT about this but it was never resolved.

You have to be careful because if you install the second file with 0 bytes size it will overwrite the file that actually contains the mod data.

What i do is install the mod from the downloads page, then i get vortex to delete the file with 0 bytes size from the download screen. it may get fixed one day, but its been 18 months at least, so i wouldn't bet the farm on that.

1ae0bfb8, Thanks for the reply.  I'm sure there's a tutorial I should have read somewhere, but I just noticed my bad!  On the Downloads screen (under General), at the bottom of the list window, there is an orange outline (which is a button) that reads "View All Downloads."  You can press that and elect to see "View not-yet-installed Downloads."  That's where the little bugger was hiding.  You can then elect to resume or delete the download.  John Wayne is quoted as saying, "Life is hard.  It's even harder when you're stupid."  I am proof of that.

Thanks for the compassion and the encouragement.  I'm good now.

i'm glad to hear you got it sorted.

its not your fault - if you've never seen it before it's not at all obvious, and vortex doesn't tell you much about it.

the issue was reported a long, long time ago and never resolved, and it persists to this day. i know if i download 3 mods, at least one of them will do this "double" download, so that i get the actual mod and then this bogus 0 bytes mod.

anyway - onwards and upwards. happy holidays bud!
