Rikuwoblivion
I'm usually pretty good about fixing things but I'm pretty much at a loss right now. I don't understand crash logs very well. I started from not launching, to launching and losing my plugins, to reactivating plug ins and getting a new game started but being unable to raise weapons or interact and crashing, and now I can raise my weapons but I can't interact and I CTD within about 10-15 seconds. Help lol. https://pastebin.com/uQ69dwGq Edit: Edit: I got a crash log reader thing, it is doing me minimal good, I retried downloading sse engine fixes part 2 and got no change: ################################################################################ Solutions ################################################################################ SkyrimSE.exe: count: (50) This file on its own is not the cause, however, we'll do further parsing... Could not find any known issues related to SkyrimSE.exe. SkyrimSE.exe \_might\_ be listed for the sole reason of... you're playing this game!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tbbmalloc.dll: count: (2) Threading Building Blocks Memory Allocator This is either part of: \- the CreationKit Fixes: [https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/20061](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/20061) \- the Engine Fixes (part 2): [https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17230](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17230) I do recommend to use Engine Fixes (pick 'part 1' according to your SKSE) This message is shown without a check: Make sure to disable: SrtCrashFix64.dll (Animation Limit Crash fix SSE) as this is handled by the Engines Fixes, which is recommended to use! Either way, make sure to have the 'latest' version variant for your Skyrim edition. However, this probably is not the cause, but the causing mod relies on excessive memory handling. First and foremost, try to close any other application and background processes that might be running that you do not need. Like, but not limited to, game launchers, web browsers with 20 open tabs, Spotify, even Discord. Also, you might want to consider using lower texture mods, aka, use a 2k instead of a 4k texture mod, or just a 1k texture. If the above did not help, you could try apply these config tweaks to: \_\_Skyrim.ini\_\_\_ Make sure to comment out (#) any existing variants of these, so you can go back if they dont help or make things worse. This is most applicable if you're using 4-8 GB ram or less, you game addicted freak! ;) Edited December 22, 2023 by Rikuwoblivion
IskanderNexus
Hi, this is pretty similar to my ctd's (and others), look at the "engine fixes"" mod page. i think you have dll(s) or mods enabled that are not compatible with the new build from bethesda. In my case i had valhalla combat enabled, but true hud is broken still ... disabling fixed my mouse ctd issue. I know from one gui that improved camera was his problem, that mod is working for me though ... The keyboard is still non reponsonsive in my case and the call of interfaces like "enb" or "oar" are still causing ctd ... still looking for the culprit in my 1700 mods I don't know how many mods you use, but i would start looking at skse based mods or gui interfaces first . disable , start game ..ctd .. be annoyed .. disable , start game ... i think you get the process if you find something, please let me know
Rikuwoblivion
That's currently my plan for this evening if no one happens to give any suggestions on specific mods, I'm not running Valhalla or True Hud, I tried disabling Improved camera a bit ago because I'd heard similarly but it didn't change anything in my situation. I've got 480ish mods so there's gonna be a movie put on tonight and I'll be removing in sets of 10 until I figure it out, sadly.
7531Leonidas
FYI - do not forget the SKSE logs in your My Games/Skyrim Special Edition/SKSE folder, and in the steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition/Data/SKSE folders. Info about which mods are not starting properly might be found there. (Only a few .log files in the second location.)
Rikuwoblivion
So, I made a new mod profile, just started slowly adding mods, got to 69 (Nice), mostly just: followers, nemesis, skyclimb, and convenient horses, got out of the alternate start cell, crashed as soon as I pressed my escape key to bring up the menu. At this point it has to be engine fixes which is super unfortunate.
IskanderNexus
if i find something on my side, i will let you know. personally i don't think there is a problem with engine Fixes, because there are to few people with similar problems like ours. but you never know . probably it is a mismatch between mods. IskanderNexus
Upd.: The Main Cause for my CTD's is SkyClimb ... after disabling i can use the console, get into Main Menu etc.
