chromehounds_2008
Recently after installing a few mods, and going to my katana shop to get, what else, katana's. I was on my way back from the bridge, I could leave, but I cant come back... I step about half way before it gives me through the bridge before a message appears. "File cannot be found" then anymore then that, and I crash, immediately. I recorded a video for it, and I was gonna put it up on youtube, but with all the errors and slow uploading time.. it MIGHT have to do with the fact taht for a SPLIT second I clicked "Uninstall" and then hopefully ended it before anything happened. Which was practically immediately after it started, it didnt even get to the black uninstall thing. I would give my load order, but I seeemed to forgot how. Any ideas folks of TESNexus? bben46
'IF' you caught it before the uninstall actually started. Usually when I see this type of crash in an ongoing game, it is from something that was removed from the cell you are trying to enter. Have you removed any mods lately? If you have to reinstall, Here is a Link to Bbens Complete Uninstall/Reinstall procedure:http://s1.zetaboards.com/TheStormRavenLibr.../1446421/1/#new It allows for saving all settings, save games and Mods. chromehounds_2008
I actually have not, I only have three mods that effect the imperial city, and that is two SPB armors and a arena mod to edit a few things, like looting enemys from it, and other such. Anywho. I did a bit of research, and if I get into the area at and around weye, the only places I can go is the testinghall, if I even go to hawkhaven, I immediately crash. And that save is practically down the crapper. If I stay away from that general area, then I can head ANYWHERE else.
bben46
It may not even be an IC related mod. It could be something from another mod that placed something in that cell - such as below the bridge. Or it could be a 'dirty reference' - one that was left over during the making of the mod and never removed. These cause all kinds of strange things to happen. The save has that reference and thinks it needs it to play - so when it can't find it - Crash. OBMM has a very handy function to see every mod that was active - in their load order for every save made. On the far right side Click on Utilities, then save manager. If you have a lot of saves it might take a few minutes for it to come up. Find the save you are having the problem with and click on it. It will show every mod that was active, and whether it is currently active (green) , deactivated (red) or not found (black) This is an easy way to find a mod required that is no longer used.
