Need help with applying a keyword to an item using an enchantment

I'm making a small personal mod for myself to nullify the weaknesses of vampirism. I'm hoping to add a new enchantment that I can add to whatever piece of clothing/armor I want. I've got everything set up but I need help understanding if what I want to do is possible. I checked out the magic effect page for the creation kit and the page makes me think that adding a keyword to the magic effect to be put on an item through an enchantment won't actually add that keyword to the item. Which totally defeats the purpose of the mod. So any help explaining that would be great.

Alternatively, if there's a much better way to get the same result, I'd appreciate the help.

I would like to start out by saying that I am not a modder at all. But I have been looking into toying around with the creation kit and making small edits to items here and there... so by all means disregard this if it sounds dumber than I think it does.

Would it be easier to duplicate an existing enchantment that has a similar starting point to what you want your new enchantment to do (such as resist fire for example) and then making the edits you want your finished enchantment to be as opposed to making a new enchantment from scratch?

I love the idea of what you're trying to do though. I would love to do a playthrough as a Day Walker (Like Blade, all of their strengths, none of their weaknesses except for the thirst) so if you do get it to work the way you want, I would definitely be interested to try it out even though I do use Better Vampires and Better Vampire Lords.

So far as I know, the only way to dynamically attach a keyword is through aliases.

Your enchantment would have to put its target in a quest alias bearing the desired keyword.

This, of course, means you can only put keywords on a pre-established number of targets.
