dd996 Posted January 4 Share Posted January 4 A race mod that allows you to start off as a fully transformed mind flayer / illithid coming out of their pod. Customization options would include the 4 body types that you can regularly choose for some races, and some customizable head options, with the illithid maintaining some traits from its past host (ie. body type, personality, class... and eyes??) for roleplay purposes If you don't start off as an illithid, then at the end game, the body types could still be applicable if you so choose to turn someone into an illithid, allowing them to somewhat resemble the character they previously were, showing that it is an echo of someones former self. To add more customization, you could also allow yourself to wear almost all clothing in game, while starting off with the regular mind flayer attire, they're known for, maybe showcasing their want to hold onto who they were. You would start off with just the usual perks of tentacle whip (and maybe mind blast?), whether or not your power as an illithid grows, is up to you, give more into your illithid nature, or hold onto the little part of you still left. That's my idea for starting off as an illithid, other mods I've found, don't really scratch my itch of playing as an mind flayer at the start, fresh out of the pod transformed, nor do the mods that allow you to transform right after you come out, really change much about being an illithid, you're just the overpowered illithid at the end of the game for the most part, with no passing resemblance to your own former body/host.
