Vampire Lord Transformation Keeps Crashing Game

Recommended Posts

So I am fairly new to the modding side of games and am not experienced in any way with it. But I ran into an issue with my vampire lord. Every time I transform and go to move or even look around my game crashes (without report) and I am not sure which of my mods is causing it. The only mods I have concerning the vampires is Vampire Lord Perks Expanded, and Volkihar Knight - Vampire Armor (Aside from my Serana Overhaul). I still have 38 more mods installed and dont know where my conflict is. Any thoughts?

Have you explored the comments/bugs sections of the two mods you cited?  Might be a clue there.  You could also check out SSEEdit, and use its 'show conflicts' filter after you load up your entire LO.  There are tutorials available, just not sure how current they are.  Basically, every mod listed in red is being overwritten by something, so look at the two mods you listed if they show up red, and see what is/are the mod(s) affecting them.  Looking doesn't change anything, you have to intentionally make changes in files, and save those changes.  Any information on overwrites could be helpful if you go to the mod pages.

BTW, make sure to include the version of your Skyrim, your mod manager, when you discuss this w/anyone, and have your load order (LO) available for posting in the conversation.

This crash occurs because of the armor mods. This happened to me today and I tried deleting the mods but it didn't work. I took off the modded armors I was wearing and took off my cloak and turned into a vampire lord and it didn't crash anymore. You don't need to delete the mods. Take off the absurd clothes you are wearing or transform the modded ones into that way, if you have a problem. If it continues, it is due to a mod conflict, check the texture mods. İ have Volkihar knight armour mode too, dont equip it while you are transforming.
