[Mod suggestion] Global inventory access from anywhere

Perhaps this topic has already be adressed, but I will find very usefull to have access to a "global inventory". So from anywhere, this function could give the view on all resouces collected by the player (stocked in various places, outposts, ship, companions ...).
Currently it is very hard to know the global amount of resources collected by player and globaly available. It is a very waste time to do this.
Of course this function would not allow to use resources not in the same place of the player, just see the amount and the localization. 

If some modder find this interesting ... il will be nice

But perhaps it is to hard to realised by modding ...
