nransdel
The title pretty much says it all. I just picked up this game on the Steam X-mas sale and everything has been very nostalgic, but within 5 mins I realized that there is zero blood spill or splatter when you wipe out. With this game being a remaster of the original, I honestly thought there would be physics based blood spills and even cuts/scrapes on the character the more you keep wiping out in a session. Instead, we ended up with the opposite... They took out the small amount of blood splatter that the original game had and I was wondering if there were any talented modders on here that would be willing to take up this challenge. If we could put in the same kind of blood splatter effects that a game like The Last of Us (Remake) has - then this THPS 1+2 remake would be the tits!! I know that is a big ask and for something that intense I would even be willing to pay a modest development fee, but if that would be way to much work then even just importing the original blood splatter effects in HD resolution would be better than the garbage I just purchased off the Steam store. On a side note - a quick reddit search for "THPS 1+2 Blood" will yield a ton of other people online who were just as disappointed as I am that they "child proofed" this game so hard. Not only that, but they took out 12 songs from the original game that were too explicit for all the gentle snowflakes running around these days. Truth is...you bail out on a half pipe while doing a gnarly trick and beef it hard and your gonna leave a blood pool behind. You can even make the argument that without the blood effects this game is making skateboarding appear way safer than it actually is and some kids are gonna go out there and bust their heads open thinking they are Bob Burnquist or Tony Hawk (lolol). Lemme know if anyone here thinks this simple tweak to this remaster will be possible, otherwise I might as well put in my refund request to Steam right now.
