when downloading mods on to vortex from nexusmods, the download does not complete and this error message pops up.

For future reference... log in to the Vortex app too. Both the site and the app require you to be logged in to give permission to download mods.

not to necro, but... I'm extremely glad this didn't get deleted, I was having the exact same issue with the exact same solution (my vortex app got logged out somehow and I hadn't noticed), thank you!

I suggest adding a visual hint to the program itself in the window of this error. I also could not understand what the problem was for three months and used another mod manager.
