Sanity Mod: Make Deaths Mean More

A mod to add more tension to the game. This mod handles the depleting sanity of being resurrected and killed over and over again in particularly deadly playthroughs (I play with extended party with high-challenge mod so my peeps die often. Too often for my comfort without consequence.) Every time they die, they get a point on their sanity and as it builds up they undergo worse effects from it. Potential decreases in ability, for example, from not being able to focus properly. Maybe also undergoing fear when hit due to flashbacks to previous deaths. This can escalate across deaths. I'm thinking the final consequence would be something permanent, such as turning hostile due to panic, and a permadeath as a result. I'm thinking these consequences could be a passive feature given to everybody (like nonlethal damage is) so that it can be turned on and off. Maybe a system to regain sanity would also be nice, so that the bad stuff wouldn't be flat out inevitable, but not sure what. It would need to be something balanced. Reasonably hard to do, so that you can't just cheese your way out of paying attention to sanity. Thanks for reading!
